Women's Tennis Finds Success at Ohio Invite

The Hillsdale College women's tennis team made its mark at this weekend's Northwest Ohio Invite, held in Lima, Ohio.

In singles competition, the Chargers won 11 of 14 matches. In doubles matches, Hillsdale went 6-3 across all flights.

The headliner was freshman Sarah Hackman, who played extremely well in both singles and doubles competition. She went 3-0 in singles, picking up wins over Tiffin and host Northwest Ohio, by scores of 7-6, 6-2 and 8-5 respectively. 

In doubles, Hackman joined sophomore Hannah Cimpeanu to roll through the competition, going 3-0 overall. The duo earned wins of 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1.

Freshman Sophia Spinazze also played well, winning two singles matches against Tiffin while picking up a doubles win over the Dragons with teammate Julia Formentin.
