The Hillsdale College men's track team was picked to finish fifth out of 13 teams in this year's preseason conference coach's poll, released Thursday morning.
Hillsdale took third at last year's G-MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Chargers bring back a number of strong athletes across a spectrum of events, but Great Midwest Athletic Conference coaches favored four other programs over the Chargers as the new year approaches.
Some of the top returning athletes for the men's track team include senior David Chase, junior Nate Eldridge, junior Joseph Humes, sophomore Konnor Maloney, freshman Mark Miller, senior Nathan Pando, sophomore Ryan Thomsen and sophomore Adam Wade.
G-MAC newcomer Tiffin was picked to finish first, netting nine of 13 first-place votes. Findlay was second with Walsh and Malone being picked third and fourth, respectively.
