After shooting two of the best rounds of his career, Hillsdale College's Ryan Zetwick found himself recognized as his conference's best this week.
Zetwick, a junior, was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office Wednesday afternoon.
At Hillsdale's final event of the fall, the Miami Intercollegiate, Zetwick led all Chargers with a three-round score of 214, finishing 14th overall at the event. In his first round, he shot a career-low 69, his first collegiate round under 70. After finishing the second round with a 75, he came back Tuesday to register a round of 70, the second-best round of his career. He was just one stroke away from his first career top-10 finish.
Earlier in the fall, he was one of the team of five Chargers that won the G-MAC Fall Invite. Zetwick is a native of Castle Rock, Colorado.
