Liam Purslowe shot a 144 over the course of the two-day Music City Invitational, hoste dby future G-MAC opponent Trevecca Nazarene, just outside of Nashville.
Purslowe shot a 71 on Monday's first round and followed that up with a 73 Tuesday, tying for sixth place overall at the event. As a team, Hillsdale placed 14th at the 24-team event with a two-day score of 596.
Grand Valley State took first place with a team score of 571, followed by Indianapolis (574) and Tiffin (578).
Tying for 14th individually was Joe Torres, who shot a 74 Monday, then improved to a 71 on Tuesday for a 145, just one stroke behind Purslowe. Andy Grayson was third on the team with a 153. One stroke behind him was Peter Benteau with a 154, and freshman Ryan Zetwick was fifth on the team with a 155.
