A depleted Charger women's cross country team competed at the Conference Crossover, a meet hosted by Lewis University in suburban Chicago Saturday morning.
Without two of its top five runners, Hillsdale finished fifth at the meet with 192 points. Cal Baptist won the meet with 51 points, edging out the Midwest's top-ranked team, Grand Valley State, who had 66 points. Alaska Anchorage was third with 126 points.
Senior Hannah McIntyre was once again the Chargers top runner at the 6K course. She finished with a time of 21:54.7, good for seventh overall at the race.
A pair of freshmen were the team's second and third-best runners on Saturday. Maryssa Depies was 33rd overall with a 22:34.8, while Christina Sawyer wasn't far behind at 39th overall with a time of 22:41.5.
The team is now off until the G-MAC championships, scheduled for October 21 in Nashville, Tennessee.
