The Hillsdale College women's track team legged out top finishes at the Northwest Ohio Invitational at Findlay, Ohio Friday evening. A total of 15 schools were represented at the event.
Five Chargers crossed the tape first in their events. Junior Amy Kerst reached an NCAA provisional time in the 800m run. Sophomore Kristina Galat had an excellent performance in the mile run, nearly cracking the five-minute mark. Sophomore Danielle Gagne won the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.6. Freshman Allison Duber continued an impressive start to her first season with her second win in the 400. Sophomore Corrine Zehner also took third in the same event.
The 4x400 relay team (Zehner, Jessica Hurley, Duber, Gagne) took another close second, finishing about a tenth of a second behind Findlay's team.
The team is back in action next Friday at the Dan Gladstein Invitational Jan. 24 in Bloomington Indiana.
