Hillsdale College Finishes 6th at GLIAC Tournament

SUNDAY RECAP

The Fall season came to an end with a tough 5-4 loss to Walsh for the Hillsdale College women's tennis team.

Hillsdale finished in sixth place in the GLIAC Tournament with the loss.

Sisters Morgan Delp and Sydney Delp polished off a perfect conference tournament with an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. They finished the fall season with an incredible 15-2 record, winning 14 of their last 15 matches.

One of the most gratifying wins was earned by freshman Dana Grace Buck, who won a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) decision at No. 3 singles. Buck is one of the team's most promising players, and picking up this win to conclude her Fall season has to make coach Nikki Walbright happy.

Buck earlier teamed up with Rachel Blaauw for an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles. Blaauw recorded two postseason victories for the first time in her career.

Fellow freshman Sarah Krinzman also wrapped up her Fall season with an impressive win, 6-0, 6-3, at No. 6 singles.
