Bulldogs nip Chargers

September 9, 2012 - The Charger women's tennis team continued to make progress in its second match of the new season, but still feel just short of a team win.

Hillsdale lost a 5-4 decision to Ferris State University Saturday afternoon at home. The Chargers are 0-2 on the season.

The top part of Hillsdale's lineup performed flawlessly, led by No. 1 singles player Brittany Parks.

The team's only senior, Parks cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win for her first singles win of the year. Earlier in the day, she teamed up with sophomore Morgan Delp for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

Morgan Delp improved to 2-0 on the season with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.

Freshman Sydney Delp recorded her first collegiate singles win at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-3 victory.
