Near the end of its annual Florida training trip, the Charger women's swimming team competed in a five-team event, the Bob Mowerson Memorial Meet, and came away the victors.

Hillsdale won the meet with 429.5 points, easily out-pacing the other Division II program present, Califoria (Pa.), who had 339.5 points.

The team's depth was a big part in the win, with the Chargers owning the top several places in a handful of events. All distances noted here are measured in meters, rather than the usual yards.

Freshman Danielle LeBleu led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 400 free with a winning time of 4:52.05. Following her in second was senior Emily Shallman, followed by Grace Houghton.

Shallman would also win an event, taking first in the 50 butterfly at 32.8 seconds. Also scoring in that event were Bailey Bickerstaff, Catherine Voisin, Houghton and Peyton Bowen.

The 50 free also saw Hillsdale dominate the top finishers, led by Suzanne DeTar's second-place in the 50 free (30.3). Following her was LeBleu, Victoria Addis and Taylor Steyer, all scoring valuable points for the Chargers.

DeTar won the 100 free in 1:04.51, while fellow sophomore Tiffany Farris won the 50 back in 36.47 seconds. Anika Ellingson and Addis went 2-3 in the 50 breaststroke event.
