The Chargers answered Friday night's victory with another pair of wins Saturday against Olivet and Ohio Northern University. Though many swimmers swam off-events the Chargers won by a score of 165-44 and 131-87.
The Chargers had many great swims with many season best times. Sophomore Jennifer Wheeler and Freshman Kylie Powrie started off the individual events with a first and second place finish in the 1000 freestyle respectively. Freshman Emily Shallman won a close race in the 200 Freestyle out touching the opponent by 0.07 seconds. Junior Rachael Kurtz won the 50 Freestyle and the 100 Freestyle making her the high scorer of the meet individually. The Chargers also had a first and second place finish in the 500 freestyle by junior Jordan Rucinski and sophomore Jennifer Wheeler.
Rucinski posted a season best time in that event dropping two seconds. Junior Cayley Cruickshank also posted a season-best time in the 100 breaststroke earning her a first place finish.
The Chargers finished the meet with a splash by finishing first and second in the 400 freestyle relay. Other notable swims occurred by senior Molly Birrer who dropped over a second in her 200 freestyle and senior Kate Smith who posted a season best time in the 100 backstroke.
The Chargers are back in action November 16 versus Findlay and Malone in Canton, Ohio.
