Track Season Opens at Findlay

Meet Results

Saturday Recap
December 8, 2012 -  Two of Hillsdale College's top returning athletes at the school this year are women's track senior Kayla Cadlwell and men's junior Maurice Jones. Both stood out among their competition at this weekend's season opening meet.

Jones took first place in the 400 meter dash with a time of 49.08 seconds. That was not only good for an NCAA provisional time, but with the conversion formula applied to his time, already ranks him number two in the NCAA Division II in that event.

After a good first day in the heptathlon Friday, Justin Fawley finished second overall in the event with a total of 4,788 points. That point total was also good for NCAA provo status.

Baseball import Alex Mexicotte cruised to a fifth-place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.65 seconds. Mexicotte is expected to be an asset to the team's corps of sprinters after playing baseball during the 2011-12 academic year.
