After a week in which he went 3-1, helping his team to a win over a regionally ranked team, Charger senior Dugan Delp was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week Tuesday afternoon. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office.
Delp went 2-0 in a 9-0 victory over Edinboro last Friday, a team that was ranked fourth in the Atlantic Region. He played his way to a 6-3, 6-2 win in singles and pulled out a 9-7 win at doubles with John Ciraci.
He was Hillsdale's only victor in the team's Saturday match against Ferris State, winning 6-3, 0-6, 10-8 in singles, an impressive comeback.
For the season, Delp has a 4-2 record in doubles play and 3-3 record in singles play. He hails from Toledo, Ohio.
