Adams Earns First G-MAC Player of the Week Award

Hillsdale College sophomore Charlie Adams made an impressive run at the Fall ITA Regionals last week, held in Allendale, Michigan. As a result, he was recognized by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Adams was named the G-MAC Player of the Week Tuesday. The award was announced and chosen by the conference office.

A Second-Team All-GLIAC selection last year, Adams won three matches and advanced to the semifinals of the A Draw Consolation. After an opening-round loss to Grand Valley State, Adams put together wins over players from Purdue Northwest, Illinois-Springfield and Northwood before being eliminated.

Adams had a terrific season in 2016-17, going 14-7 in singles play while always hovering around the top three flights. He had a doubles record of 13-9 in his rookie season. He hails from Knoxville, Tennessee.
