The Hillsdale College golf team finished in fifth place at this week's Midwest Fox Run Regional, held in St. Louis, Missouri and hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
After Monday's first round, Hillsdale was in first place of the 22 competing teams and received consistent performances from all five golfers present. Tuesday's final round was marred by rain and lightning.
Hillsdale had a team score of 295 Monday and 305 Tuesday, for a final score of 600. McKendree took first overall with a score of 589, followed by Lindenwood (591), UMSL (594) and Tiffin (598).
Logan Kauffman improved on his first round score of 75 by carding a 72 in Tuesday's final round, finishing with a score of 147. Joel Pietila matched Kauffman's final score of 147 after firing a 71 Monday.
Hillsdale wraps up the fall portion of its schedule by playing in the Motor City Invite in Detroit this weekend.
