This year Head Coach Keith Otterbein, the Hillsdale College Football Program, the Hillsdale High School Football Program and the Reading High School Football Program hosted fifteen athletes on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, September 1 for Victory Day. Victory Day is an evening and afternoon of education, inspiration and fun on the gridiron for children with cognitive and/or physical impairments in Hillsdale County. These Special Needs participants are provided with a full "game day experience"! Friday evening they toured the Sports Complex, joined the team for their pre-game dinner, and ran drills under the lights of Frank "Muddy" Waters Stadium. On game day, the participants ran out of the tunnel with the team and assisted the Charger captains with the coin toss. The Hillsdale and Reading high school football teams set up defense at both endzones during halftime so participants could feel the rush of scoring touchdowns as the crowds cheered with ethusiasm!
Thank you to the coaches, players, cheerleaders, and fans for making this year's Victory Day a success!
